The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is developing a corridor management plan for K-254 in Sedgwick and Butler counties. The area includes twenty-two (22) miles of K-254 from Wichita on the west to El Dorado on the east (and within one (1) mile of the highway). The goal of the K-254 Corridor Management Plan is to establish future land development and an access management approach that serves the communities while keeping traffic moving efficiently and safely.
The first K-254 Corridor Management Plan Public Meeting was held Tuesday, June 27th, at 5:45 PM at Circle Middle School. There was great attendance and KDOT and the consulting groups received numerous insightful comments from the Steering Committee, Stakeholder Groups, and Community Members.
More meetings will be held through the duration of the project. Visit the K-254
Corridor Management Plan public input link to view the project's timeline and details.
