2022 Andover Tornado Assistance Information

If you, or someone you know, has been negatively impacted by the tornado which struck the City of Andover the evening of April 29th, 2022, please visit the City of Andover's website at https://www.andoverks.com/AlertCenter.aspx?AID=Frequently-Asked-Questions-5 . The City is working to update the information as needed and is also posting updates and information on their Facebook and Twitter accounts. The City of Andover KS City Office can be reached by phone at 316-733-1303. 

The Butler County Landfill has returned to normal operating hours of Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Saturday 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and Sunday Closed. Please visit the Landfill's webpage at https://www.bucoks.com/274/Landfill-Recycling or contact the Landfill (316-322-4158) or the Butler County Public Works Department (316-322-4101) for information regarding tornado debris rates and hours of operation; fees for storm waste will be waived. 

Please remember to obtain the permission of property owners prior to advancing onto their property. The City of Andover will post updates on their social media sites regarding coordinated volunteer efforts to assist in cleanup. 

St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church is offering assistance as well. Please visit their website at https://svdpks.org/andover-tornado-assistance/ , contact them at 316-733-1423, or visit their Facebook page for information regarding their offerings.

Property tax abatement may be available to property owners with property completely or partially demolished as a result of a natural disaster. Visit the Appraiser's Office's webpage at https://www.bucoks.com/159/Appraisers-Office or contact them at 316-322-4220 for more information and to apply.
