IMMEDIATE RELEASE

March 22, 2021

U.S. 400 Bridge at Leon will be repaired

Repair of a U.S. 400 bridge at Leon, in Butler County, is expected to start around April 7.

The bridge, on the east side of Leon, crosses the Little Walnut River. The Kansas Department of Transportation project involves deck patching and overlay.

During the work, expected to be completed around mid-August depending on the weather, traffic on the bridge will be limited to one lane and controlled by traffic signals. Motorists should be prepared to slow down and stop for the signals and should expect some delay.

Dondlinger & Sons Construction Co. Inc., of Wichita, is the main contractor for the $566,136 project.

The red dot on the map below shows the approximate project location.
