Spring Fling

After a three year hiatus, SPRING FLING, the Butler County Senior Resource Fair, will be held May 11, 2023.  The event will be in El Dorado, Kansas, from 9;00 a.m. until 3 p.m. Visitors to the fair have three locations to visit - the Civic Center (201 E. Central), El Dorado Senior Center (210 E. Second), and Butler County Community Building (206 Griffith).  All three venues are within one to two blocks from each other. Booths offering information on a range of goods, services, and information for seniors will be at all three locations. SPRING FLING is the largest event in Butler County focused on seniors and their caregivers.  Spring Fling is always a great way to have fun while learning about the services, trends, and opportunities for today's older adults and caregivers. The fair has not been possible since 2019 due to Covid concerns and restrictions.  The Butler County Department on Aging is thrilled to have Spring Fling back in 2023, and are looking forward to another successful year. OVERVIEW OF SPRING FLING: Past attendance has been approximately 800 visitors with over 120 booths to visit. Information, door prizes and giveaways are at every booth. Various activities are planned at each location. Lunches are available at the Civic Center and Community Building.  A free shuttle helps visitors park at any of the three locations and ride the shuttle to the other locations. Free golf cart rides help people get from their cars to the Civic Center or Community Building. REGISTER FOR A VENDOR BOOTH: If you are interested in promoting your business or organization to an older population, having a vendor booth at Spring Fling is a great way to accomplish that.
