How Do I Register To Vote?

Voter registration applications are available on this web site. Click here to open the Voter Registration Application form and print. Complete all information, sign and mail to the Election Office, 205 W. Central, El Dorado, Kansas 67042. Voter Registration Applications must contain an original signature and cannot be faxed.

This application must be postmarked no later than the 15th day prior to any election in order to be eligible to vote. The last four (4) digits of your social security number are required. Your county election officer will mail you a notice when your application has been processed.

How Do I Update Or Change My Voter Registration?

If you change your name or address, or wish to change your party affiliation, you are required to update your voter registration. Go to the Voter Registration Application and complete all information, sign and mail to the Election Office, 205 W. Central, El Dorado, Kansas 67042.

When Can I Register?

You may register to vote at any time. However, voter registration always closes 14 days prior to an Election Day.

What Are The Guidelines To Distributing Voter Registration Applications Forms To The Public?

If you are handing out voter registration applications, it is recommended that the individual completing the application be responsible for returning it to the County Election Office.

If you are collecting voter registration applications, please note that the official registration date for voting purposes is the date the application is received at the County Election Office. Timely delivery of these applications will assure that a voter's eligibility to vote is not jeopardized.

Voter registration applications must be mailed or hand delivered to the Election Office. Because they require an original signature, they cannot be faxed.
