The Treasurer's Office wants you to know that we are here to assist with tax related and motor vehicle questions. Tax payment options include cash, check, credit card and online payment.

The Tax Department is the Banking Center of the Courthouse. All departments deposit their money in the County Treasurer's Office. The Treasurer is required to make a bank deposit daily and to insure safe, secure and wise investment of all County monies.

Collections of taxes from over 54, 000 tax statements net the County around forty-five million dollars annually. A large percentage of these funds are distributed to various agencies within and surrounding the Butler County area.

The tax office has five full time employees and one part-time employee, as well as, the Treasurer tending to the tax office operations. The motor vehicle department has eleven full time employees, totaling sixteen full time employees in the Treasurer's Office.
