Training and GrantsThe Training and Grants section of the Sheriff's Office falls under the supervision of the Operations Division. One Sergeant currently staffs it. His area of responsibility is to research and apply for grants for the department. He is also responsible for any and all job applications, initial testing and processing of those applicants. Training requirements, tracking and scheduling for the department is all done through the training Sergeant. Court SecurityThe Court Security section falls under the Supervision of the Operations Division. Court Security's function is to supply security to the courthouse, courtrooms, and all other offices that are housed in the courthouse. It is also responsible for scheduling of individuals to be transported to and from the courthouse from the county jail. Court Security is comprised of ten deputies, five full-time certified officers and five part-time certified officers. They report to a Sergeant, who is part of the day-to-day operations.
