Emergency Accident Reporting Plan
The Butler County Sheriff's Office Emergency Accident Report Plan or "EARP" is a plan enacted during inclement weather to aid citizens in reporting minor reportable accidents. The plan cannot be used unless it has been authorized and activated by our office.

No alcohol or drugs involved.

No injuries.

All vehicles involved must be drivable from the accident location.

If there is damage to a fence enclosing a pasture occupied by livestock, the plan will not apply, and the accident must be reported immediately.

Driver's must exchange driver/vehicle information:
a. Name
b. Address
c. Phone Numbers
d. Driver's License Number
e. Insurance Company and Policy Number
f. Vehicle Information:
1) Tag Number
2) Make, Model, Year
6. The accident must be reported to the Sheriff's Office within twenty-four (24) hours by contacting Butler County Emergency Communications who will relay the reporting parties information to a Deputy.
