COUNTY PUBLIC BUILDING COMMISSION MEETING

CALL TO ORDER
Commission Chairman Dan Woydziak called the Butler County Public Building Commission meeting to order at 11:45 a.m. Present were Commissioner Randy Doll, Commissioner Randy Waldorf, Commissioner Mike Wheeler, Administrator Will Johnson Jr., and Clerk Recorder Tammy Bridges. Commissioner Will Carpenter was absent because he was attending Work Force Alliance meetings in Washington, D.C.
Commissioner Doll motioned to approve the minutes of the Butler County Public Building Commission Meeting of Tuesday, January 7, 2006 as written. Commissioner Wheeler seconded the motion. Motion carried 4-0. Commissioner Carpenter abstained since he was not present at that meeting.
ITEM #1 – RECEIVE AND OPEN BIDS FOR PURCHASE OF FURNITURE FOR THE EAST ANNEX PROJECT
The Board received and opened bids from:
Contract Furnishings LaForge’s
Allsteel Furniture $43,444.86 Hon Chairs $25,262.97
Allsteel Chairs $20,602.92
Hon Furniture $ 6,681.19
Total $70,728.97
Hon Furniture $52,261.33
Hon Chairs $28,263.08
Total $80,524.41
Commissioner Waldorf motioned
to accept the bids and allow staff to make a recommendation. Commissioner
Woydziak seconded the motion. Motion
carried 4-0.
ITEM #2 – RECESS FOR 10 MINUTES TO REVIEW BIDS FOR EAST ANNEX
ITEM #3 – CONSIDER APPROVAL OF LOW
BID AND ALLOW FOR THE PURCHASE OF FURNITURE FOR THE EAST ANNEX PROJECT
Administrator Johnson recommended
purchasing Allsteel furniture from Contract Furnishings in the amount of
$70,728.97.
Commissioner Woydziak motioned
to accept the bid from Contract Furnishings in the amount of $70,728.97. Commissioner Doll seconded the motion. Motion carried 4-0.
