BUTLER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

CALL TO ORDER

Commission Chairman Will Carpenter called the Butler County Board of Commissioners to order at 9:00 a.m. Present were Commissioner Phil Anderson, Commissioner Randy Doll, Commissioner Bill Shriver, Commissioner Mike Wheeler, Administrator Will Johnson Jr., and Clerk Recorder Tammy Bridges.

ITEM #1 – CONSIDER AUGUST 15, 2004 IMPLEMENTATION OF FINALIZED PAY PLAN

Administrator Johnson presented the finalized pay plan to the Board.

Commissioner Doll motioned to approve the implementation of the finalized pay plan as submitted today, effective August 15, 2004 and paid out September 1, 2004. Commissioner Shriver seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.

ITEM #2 – WORK SESSION

Commissioner Doll inquired about filling the Planning & Zoning Director position. This will be an agenda item in two weeks.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Commissioner Anderson motioned to approve the Minutes of the Butler County Commission Meetings of Monday, July 26, 2004 and Tuesday, July 27, 2004 as written. Commissioner Doll seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.

APPROVAL OF VOUCHERS

Commissioner Carpenter motioned to approve the vouchers for August 2, 2004 in the amount of $129,541.95. Commissioner Anderson seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.

OTHER ITEMS OF BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD

Commissioner Carpenter stated the Butler County Fair 4-H Auction is Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at 7:00 p.m.

Administrator Johnson stated he would be attending a training conference this fall in San Diego, California.

Commissioners Carpenter and Doll and Administrator Johnson took the plaques over to the Judicial Building and the Jail to check possible locations for permanent mounting.

Commissioner Wheeler motioned to adjourn the meeting of the Board on August 2, 2004 at 10:10 a.m. Commissioner Shriver seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.
