BUTLER
COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Monday, June 10, 2002
Commission Vice-Chairman, Bill Shriver called the Butler County Board of Commissioners to order at 9:10 a.m. Present were Commissioner Will Carpenter, County Administrator, Will Johnson Jr., and County Clerk Deputy, Barbara Day.
Commissioner Carpenter made a motion to approve the Butler County Commission minutes for June 3rd and 4th, 2002. Commissioner Shriver seconded the motion.
Motion carried 2-0.
Commissioner Carpenter made a motion to approve the vouchers in the amount of $168,576.89 for June 10, 2002. Commissioner Shriver seconded the motion. Motion
carried 2-0.
Commissioner Carpenter made a motion to approve the Adds in the amount of $1,263.78 and the Abates in the amount of $6,920.12 with approval #2113 dated June 10, 2002. Commissioner Shriver seconded the motion. Motion carried 2-0.
County Administrator Johnson advised the Commission that he had received a memo from Darryl Lutz, P.E. Director of Public Works stating that the Engineering firm of
Poe & Associates has been selected for the Parallel Road Project. The Committee will review their proposal on receipt and hopefully have an agreement to the BOCC the week of June 18th for consideration and approval.
Mr. Johnson advised the Commission that he had received a letter from a Butler County Citizen concerning the possibility of a noise ordinance for the County.
Commissioner Carpenter advised that he would respond to the complaint letter from the citizen letting him know his options.
Commissioner Carpenter requested an executive session from 10:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. concerning personnel issues for non-elected employees. Commissioner Shriver seconded the motion. Motion carried 2-0. Present were Commissioner Carpenter, Shriver and County Administrator Will Johnson.
Commissioner Carpenter advised the Executive Session would be extended until 11:00 a.m.
Commissioner Shriver called the Commission meeting back to order at 11:08 a.m.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Shriver made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 11:10 a.m. Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion. Motion carried 2-0.
