BUTLER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Monday, May 14, 2001
The
Butler County Board of Commissioners was called to order by Commission
Chairman, Bill Shriver. Present were
Commissioners Randy Doll and Will Carpenter along with County Administrator,
Jay Newton and Commission Secretary, Marcia Goldsmith.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Commissioner
Carpenter moved to approve the minutes of Monday, May 7 and Tuesday, May 8,
2001as amended. Commissioner Doll
seconded the motion and carried 3-0.
APPROVAL OF VOUCHERS
Commissioner
Doll approved vouchers totaling $150,485.25.
Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion and carried 3-0.
APPROVAL OF ADDS & ABATES
Commissioner
Doll moved to approve Adds totaling +$147.02 and Abates of -$968.24. Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion
and carried 3-0.
REPORT ON 4-H AND YOUTH PROGRAMS
Staci
Garriott, 4-H Youth Programs Director and Connie Chilcott, President of the 4-H
Development Committee presented and reviewed information concerning the various
4-H and youth programs sponsored through the County Extension, 4-H/Youth
Programs Department. Ms. Garriott
acknowledged this years Butler County Fair will take place July 29-August 2,
2001 and invited the Commission to attend the many events that will be taking
place.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Commissioner
Shriver moved to go into Executive Session from 9:45 till 10:00 a.m. to discuss
personnel matters regarding the reappointment of the County Appraiser.
Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion and carried 3-0. Commissioners
returned to regular session at 10:00 a.m.
RESOLUTION 01-11
Commissioner
Carpenter moved to adopt Resolution 01-11 re-appointing Clark Allemang as
Butler County Appraiser for an additional two-year term to expire June 30,
2005. Commissioner Doll seconded the
motion and carried 3-0.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner
Doll moved having no further business before the Board to adjourn. Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion
and carried 3-0.
