BUTLER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

The Butler County Board of Commissioners was called to order by Commission Chairman, Bill Shriver. Present were Commissioners Randy Doll and Will Carpenter along with County Administrator, Jay Newton and Clerk’s Secretary, Tindel Jennison.
Commissioner Doll moved to approve County Vouchers totaling $191,918.74. Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion that carried 3-0.
Commissioner Doll moved to authorize the County Administrator and the County Sheriff to negotiate with the United States Marshall Service and submit an application for a Community Action Program grant for the purposes of providing jail space in the new Butler County Jail Facility and authorize the Chair to sign. Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion that carried 3-0.
Commissioner Shriver moved to recess for tour of the new County Highway Maintenance facility east of Augusta, Glencoe Township road viewing north of Towanda and then adjourn. Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion that carried 3-0.
