BUTLER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

The Butler County Board of Commissioners was called to order by Commission Chairman, Bill Shriver.  Present were Commissioners Randy Doll and Will Carpenter along with County Administrator, Jay Newton and Clerk’s Secretary, Tindel Jennison.

 

VARIANCE FEE WAIVER – PLANNING BD

Commissioner Doll moved to waive the $300 application fee for Ms. Lori Bailey (re: Jan. 15, 2000) for purposes of asking for variance from the Butler County Planning Board.  Commissioner Shriver seconded the motion that carried 3-0.

 

APPRAISAL, GIS/MAPPING DEPT. REVIEW

The Board reviewed the operations of the Appraiser, Mapping and GIS Departments.

 

COUNTY VOUCHER APPROVAL

Commissioner Doll moved to approve County Vouchers dated January 22, 2001 in the total amount of $1,148,906.57.  Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion that carried 3-0.

 

SHADY CREEK CMB APPROVAL

Commissioner Carpenter moved to approve a Cereal Malt Beverage License Morgan Enterprises dba Shady Creek Marina (not for consumption on the premises).  Commissioner Shriver seconded the motion that carried 3-0.

 

FLINT HILLS RC&D REP

Commissioner Doll moved to appoint Commissioner Carpenter as the Butler County Commission representative to the Butler County RC&D representative.  Commissioner Shriver seconded the motion that carried 3-0.

 

COMMERCE STREET PAVING PAYMENT

Commissioner Doll moved to approve the payment of assessment for Commerce Street paving payable to the City of El Dorado in the amount of $29,278.24 to be paid out of the County General Fund.  Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion that carried 3-0.

 

EXECUTIVE SESSION

Commissioner Doll moved to go into Executive Session for 35 minutes to discuss acquisition of land and personnel matters.  Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion that carried 3-0.

 

REGULAR SESSION

Commissioner Shriver brought the meeting back into Regular Session at 12:35 PM.

 

ADJOURNMENT

Commissioner Shriver moved to adjourn.  Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion that carried 3-0.
