BUTLER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

Monday, January 15, 2001

 

The Butler County Board of Commissioners was called to order by Commission Chairman, Bill Shriver.  Present were Commissioner Randy Doll, County Administrator Jay Newton and Clerk’s Secretary Tindel Jennison.  Commissioner Will Carpenter joined the meeting at 9:25 AM.

 

ANIMAL CONTROL ISSUE

Lori Bailey of 1235 SW 90th spoke with the Commission regarding ownership of 13 dogs, all neutered and penned on 5 acres.  County Codes allow 4 dogs on 5 acres.  Mr. Newton will visit with Clarence Daggett to get recommendation.

 

COUNTY VOUCHER APPROVAL

Commissioner Doll moved to approve County Vouchers totaling $16,018.92 dated January 15, 2001.  Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion that carried 3-0.

 

UNION TWP APPOINTMENTS

Commissioner Doll moved to appoint Max Craig to Union Township Trustee and Bob Pilcher to Union Township Treasurer (Resignation letter pending from Max Craig who was elected Union Township Treasurer in the November 2000 election).  Commissioner Cutsinger seconded the motion that carried 3-0.

 

RD & BRIDGE DEPT. REVIEW

County Engineer Darryl Lutz visited with the Board regarding all the functions of the Road and Bridge Department.

 

ADS & ABATES APPROVAL

Commissioner Carpenter moved to approve Ads totaling $6,709.58 and Abates totaling $2,297.34 per approval #2028.  Commissioner Shriver seconded the motion that carried 3-0.

 

AFFIDAVIT FOR GRANT SIGNATURES

Commissioner Doll moved to approve a submission of an affidavit to the State of Kansas for the purposes of submitting grants for the Department on Aging indicating that W. K. Shriver is the Chairman and authorize the Chair to sign.  Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion that carried 3-0.

 

ADJOURNMENT

Commissioner Doll moved to adjourn.  Commissioner Cutsinger seconded the motion that carried 3-0.
