COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Monday, July 17, 2006
CALL TO ORDER
Commission Chairman Dan Woydziak called the Butler County Board of Commissioners to order at 9:00 a.m. Present were Commissioner Will Carpenter, Commissioner Randy Doll, Commissioner Randy Waldorf, Commissioner Mike Wheeler, Assistant Administrator/Finance Director Mark Detter, and Clerk Recorder Tammy Bridges. Administrator Johnson was absent because he and his wife were having a baby.
Commissioner Waldorf motioned to approve the minutes
of the Butler County Commission Meeting of Monday, July 10, 2006 with the
correction of a name in Other Items.
Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.
Darryl Lutz, P.E., Public Works Department, came before the Board to review a policy regarding waiving or reducing landfill tipping fees. David Wagner, On-site Project Manager, came before the Board to ask for support in reducing the landfill fees for the construction project at El Dorado High School.
Commissioner Carpenter motioned to approve 50%
reduction in landfill fees for construction projects that were voted on by
district patrons involving a bond issue for any school district in Butler
County. Commissioner Wheeler seconded
the motion. Motion carried 3-2. Commissioners Carpenter, Wheeler and Waldorf
voted yes and Commissioners Doll and Woydziak voted no.
ITEM #2 – WORK SESSION – PLANNING & ZONING REGULATION AMENDMENTS
Rod Compton, Director of Planning & Zoning, came before the Board to review amendments to the zoning and subdivision regulations. A Public Hearing has been scheduled with the County Planning Commission for August 1, 2006 to consider changes to the regulations and adoption of an amended County zoning map.

Commissioner Woydziak recessed the Board meeting at 10:05 a.m.

Commissioner Woydziak reconvened the Board meeting at 10:10 a.m.
ITEM #3 – WORK SESSION – 2007
BUTLER COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT BUDGETS
Assistant Administrator Detter presented the Butler County Fire District Budgets for 2007 to the Board.
The Board took the 2007 Butler County Fire District Budgets under consideration.
APPROVAL OF VOUCHERS
Commissioner Doll motioned to
approve the vouchers dated July 17, 2006 in the amount of $745,146.18. Commissioner Carpenter seconded the
motion. Motion carried 5-0.
APPROVAL OF ADDS AND ABATES
Commissioner Carpenter motioned
to approve Adds & Abates #2268 dated July 17, 2006. Adds in the amount of $0.00 and Abates in
the amount of $288.42. Commissioner
Waldorf seconded the motion. Motion
carried 5-0.
OTHER ITEMS OF
BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wheeler
stated that Monday, July 24 is the 4-H picnic and Wednesday, August 2 is the
4-H auction. He also reminded the Board
that he would be gone on August 7, 8, 14, and 15.
Commissioner Woydziak
said he met with Mayor Lawrence of Andover to discuss the Butler Road project
and other issues of mutual concern to the City/County.

Commissioner Doll motioned to
adjourn the meeting of the Board at 11:05 a.m.
Commissioner Wheeler seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.
