Election.
CALL TO ORDER
Commission Chairman Dan Woydziak called the Butler County Board of Commissioners to order at 9:00 a.m. Present were Commissioner Will Carpenter, Commissioner Randy Doll, Commissioner Randy Waldorf, Commissioner Mike Wheeler, Administrator Will Johnson, Jr., and Clerk Recorder Tammy Bridges.
Commissioner Wheeler motioned to approve the minutes
of the Butler County Commission Meeting of Tuesday, January 17, 2006 as amended
to correct a typographical error.
Commissioner Carpenter seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.
ITEM #1 – WORK
SESSION – PLANNING AND ZONING, LAND USE PLANNING
Rod Compton, Planning and Development Director, came before the Board for discussion of the planning and zoning map. Revised maps will be presented to the Board next week. The Commissioners also discussed the commission district boundaries.
ITEM #2 – CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE 2006 LEGISLATIVE
AGENDA
The Board discussed the 2006 Legislative Agenda.
APPROVAL OF VOUCHERS
Commissioner Carpenter motioned
to approve the vouchers for January 23, 2006 in the amount of $206,240.61. Commissioner Waldorf seconded the
motion. Motion carried 5-0.
OTHER ITEMS OF
BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Carpenter and the Board discussed the clean up of Mr. Bill Johnson’s property in Rosalia.
Commissioner Wheeler asked who was going to the Mayor’s Dinner. Commissioners Wheeler, Woydziak, Carpenter, Administrator Will Johnson, and Assistant Administrator/Finance Director Mark Detter will be attending.
Commissioner Waldorf stated that he attended the Augusta Safety Department Fire Fighters dinner on Saturday night, which was well attended.
Commissioner Woydziak said that the City of Latham was denied the grant to tear down the school that burned. Mr. Woydziak stated that he would attend the Latham City Commission meeting next month to discuss this issue.
Administrator Johnson said that the Conservation District Dinner is Saturday, February 4, 2006 in the Kansas Room at the college.
Administrator Johnson stated that the Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kid’s Sake would be on Saturday, February 11, 2006.

to adjourn the meeting of the Board at 11:50 a.m. Commissioner Doll seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.
